TRIPLE PANE WINDOW PERFORMANCE
KANSAS CITY TRIPLE PANE WINDOW PERFORMANCE
Triple Pane windows mean superior performance. Standard Dual Pane windows feature two pieces of glass that are sealed together with what’s called a spacer. The surfaces of the glass can be treated with Low E coatings, and the chamber that is created can be filled with insulating inert gases.
With Triple Pane windows, we introduce a third layer of glass. Not only does this create an additional layer to stop energy loss, but it creates a second chamber that can also be filled with insulating gases.
In 2018 our manufacturing partner, Thermal Industries, was selected to the prestigious “Most Efficient” list by ENERGY STAR. An honor that most replacement window companies cannot attain…this distinction shows why they’re our choice as a national partner.
According to the ENERGY STAR website:
The ENERGY STAR Most Efficient 2018 designation recognizes the most efficient products among those that qualify for the ENERGY STAR. These exceptional products represent the leading edge in energy efficient products this year.
The Most Efficient program by ENERGY STAR actually replaces the Volume Purchase Program (sometimes referred to as the “R5” program) that was started by the U.S. Dept of Energy. This program formerly recognized window companies that could produce a window with a U Factor of 0.22 or less. These highly insulating windows had U Factors that out-performed standard dual pane windows by up to 40%.
Our MOST EFFICIENT Windows are even better than the “R5” program, which used to be the gold standard.
The Most Efficient distinction means that our Gold Package windows achieve at least 0.20 U Factor. In fact, they perform even better, at a 0.17*! This incredible measure of efficiency is WELL beyond the ENERGY STAR criteria for 2018.

*U Factor could increase with larger windows or different shapes, but will still be well within the Energy Star approved rating, ask your consultant for details.
